• Not Captive: Wolff recoil springs for Glock pistols are non-captive and must be used with compatible guide rods, such as those available from Wolff.
• Not for Gen 4 & Gen 5 Glocks: These recoil springs are designed for Gen 1-3 models only and are not compatible with Glock’s captive dual-spring assemblies used in later generations.
• Guide Rod Required: OEM Glock captive guide rods are not compatible with these non-captive recoil springs.

 

 Factory Spring Reference Notes:

• Glock’s current production captive recoil spring assemblies (silver/gray in color) are factory rated for most models at 16 lbs.
• Previous non-captive recoil systems in models like the Glock 17, 17L, and 19 were originally equipped with 19 lb springs.
• Recoil assemblies in early versions of the 17L, 20, 21, and 22 also came factory-rated at 16 lbs.
